BOWMOOR Sailing Club hosted its annual Oppy Camp with 36 Optimist sailors, including both members and non-members.
All the youngsters were confident sailors, some travelling from as far afield as Cornwall to develop their race training techniques.
The weather provided a real challenge with no wind at all on Sunday but some of the older sailors were able to try larger dinghies such as a 420, an ISO and a 29er during the camp.
Bowmoor has an extremely active Optimist flotilla with race coaching running throughout the year. Anyone interested in taking part should contact the flotilla leader via the club website: www.bowmoor.co.uk.
