ROSS LANGDON (South Cerney) finished runner-up in the PGA West Region 36-hole Pro-Am at the North Wilts Golf Club near Devizes.

It was consistent Langdon's eighth top-10 finish in 12 events this season.

Langdon, who is coached by fellow South Cerney pro Tom Motley, shot 70 and 68 for a four-under total of 138.

But that proved four shots adrift of the impressive winner Lee Thompson (Dudsbury GC) and his superb winning aggregate of eight-under-par 134.

Langdon’s second round of 68 was boosted by three successive birdies from the fourth and further bonuses at the ninth and 18th.
