CIRENCESTER TOWN will have to do without their top goal scorer Lee Smith in the forthcoming Southern Premier League season after the prolific striker signed a one-year deal with Hungerford Town.

Smith scored 38 goals in Town’s recent successful league and cup campaigns and was hugely instrumental in the club winning the Calor Division One South & West title.

Big-spending Hungerford Town will be playing in the same division as Cirencester Town after missing a play-off place only on goal difference last term.

Manager Bobby Wilkinson appears to be taking no chances this time as in addition to Smith he has bolstered his squad by signing three quality players with Swindon Town connections – midfielder Michael Pook, full back Aaron Brown and striker Josh Parsons.
