SWINDON'S Elite League trip to bottom club Birmingham on Monday was cut short, just one race from reaching a result.

Birmingham 31
Swindon Robins 23
(Match abandoned)
Rain started to fall after five heats and it was no surprise when the plug was pulled after nine races with the Brummies leading 31-23.
Robins skipper Troy Batchelor admitted it was the right decision although disappointing for fans and TV viewers alike.
He said: "We are here and we want to race and put on a show for the fans. It's disappointing but the decision was correct.
"I thought after the first delay we had every chance of getting through to Heat 15 because the rain stopped, but then it came back and there was no way we could continue.
"Hopefully, we will be fine on Thursday when we face Leicester at home."
BIRMINGHAM: Danny King 9, Daniel Nermark 6, Paul Starke 5+1, Simon Lambert 3+2, Bartosz Zmarzlik 3, Nico Covatti 3, Ben Barker 2+1.
SWINDON: Steve Worrall 6, Simon Gustafsson 5+2, Peter Kildemand 4, Nick Morris 3+1, Dakota North 3, Troy Batchelor 2, Nathan Greaves 0.
