HENRI SANDVIK, Ollie Betteridge and Steve Whitfield will all be returning to the successful Swindon Wildcats side next season.

Fan's favourite Sandvik scooped Supporters’ Player of the Year, Coaches’ Player of the Year and the Best Forward awards at the club’s end-of-season awards.

Head coach Ryan Aldridge was very keen to reunite his three forwards – Sandvik, Jan Kostal and Betteridge – and has managed to re-sign all three.

“Last season when the line of Jan, Ollie and Henri came out flying it brought the best out of the team," said Aldridge.

Henri took on more responsibility last year and was a more productive player. He is very keen to improve even more.”

Betteridge, the 18-year old Nottingham Panthers prospect, will again gain valuable ice time with the Wildcats while benefitting from training with his Elite League side during the week.

"It's great to have Ollie back again," said Aldridge after the two-way deal with the Panthers was agreed.

"He played a big part on our team last year and his energy and determination is a big factor in deciding how our whole team plays."

The Wildcats have also confirmed that defence man Steve Whitfield has agreed to return.

Having signed as a junior in 2005/6, the new deal means that Whitfield will be enjoying a 10th consecutive year associated with the Wildcats.

Aldridge said: "It's great to have Stevie back. He is getting stronger and stronger every year and is a massive part of our D-core now."
