A RARE visit by Tony Costello yielded him a second win this season at the Corinium Cycling Club's 10-mile time trials with a super fast ride of 22.22.

On a good night weather-wise, the club's international triathlete Steve Yates put in yet another sound performance at 22.44 and in third position came the consistent Andy Morgan with an excellent 23.41.

Leading in the pack this week was new member Richard Woods in fourth with 25.39 followed by the ‘ride of the night’ as Sarah Gunn gained fifth place thanks to a lady member's course record of 25.40.

Sarah’s performance was a joy to witness – powerful, elegant, fluid pedalling throughout. She was breaking her own record of 25.42.

Consistent Gerry Peppin was in next at 26.02 followed by junior contender Alex Foyn with a good ride in seventh at 26.39.

Steve Chapman (27.07) was followed by the mountain bike of Terry Barry (31.24) and in 10th was Trevor Hodges (35.39) who suffered a puncture.

Fastest rider irrespective of club was Pete Garnett of Swindon Road Club.
