10-mile Time Trial

On a warm and sunny evening, 70 riders started, the largest number of riders for some time.

Dan’s winning time was an impressive 21min 06sec, although that sub-21 minute time still eludes him.

Second place went to another Performance Cycles rider Lee Piercy (who timed 22.05) on his first ride back in the 10 series of 2014. Swindon Road Club's Pete Garnett completed the podium with 22.13.

Other club times were: Chris Wood (23.06), Alex King (23.14), Jim Curry (24.31), Andrew Wilcox (25.34), Liam Guest (25.39), Sarah Gunn (25.39 – also fastest female on the night), Harriet Guest (26.35), Robert Barry (26.36), Mervyn Cox (27.57), Rob Compton (28.16), Hanka Klimesova (29.56).

Sue Stevens Memorial Ride

ON Saturday the club organised the annual ride in memory of Sue Stevens who passed away two years ago.

Before the ride, the club presented the Sue Stevens Memorial Club Rider of the Year to Will Crofts.

Around 70 riders then took to the roads and made a brief stop at Driffield Church where Sue is buried, and where her husband Tony was waiting to greet the riders.
