DAN GUEST (Performance Cycles) continued to dominate the local 10-mile time trial series run by the Corinium Club last Thursday, with another impressive win.

Clocking a time of exactly 21 minutes, Dan saw off his nearest rival Gary Smith (Ride 24/7) by nearly two and a half minutes.

The top trio was completed by Performance Cycles rider Chris Wood, just two seconds behind Gary with a time of 23.29.

Jim Curry then made it three riders in the top five with a time of 24.42 which was enough for 5th place on the night.

Other club times were: Sarah Gunn (26.22) and fastest female rider, David Arthur (26.42)and Mervyn Cox 27.:52.

The weekend saw the Performance Cycles riders take on events all over the country – with Dan Guest and Tony Kiss riding the Andy Morrison Road Race in Milton Keynes.

Dan attacked from the gun and took another rider clear with him, and they weren’t seen again for the rest of the race!

Being the ever-dutiful team-mate, Tony spent the race near the front of the bunch, covering any counter attack and making sure Dan and his breakaway companion stayed clear.

Dan took the win with ease – his first since joining the club and our first road win of the season.

The other half of the Guest family wasn’t so lucky later that day, with Dan’s wife Hattie racing alongside Jo Jago in the women's race.

All was going well until a rider came down in front of Hattie during the rush for the line causing her to crash heavily and need hospital attention.
