Demonstrating a surprising aptitude for the 11-man game, the rugby club benefited from a sparkling hat-trick of goals from Luke Radcliffe, plus scores from Wes Clamp, Robin Greenway and Duncan Simpson.
A defensive mix-up also saw the rugby lads score for the opposition, as an unfortunate Greenway put an own-goal past keeper Gareth Peirce.
The football club chipped in with a late goal from Nick Tanner but ultimately found themselves beaten at their own game.
