ATHLETICS: Matt Lambourne posts another PB

A RECORD 505 turned out for the Swindon Park Run on Saturday morning with seven Running Somewhere Else runners among them.

Club coach Matt Lambourne recorded another PB to finish in fifth place with a time of 18.26.
Dave Witnall came home in 23rd place in 20.07 and congratulations to Sharon Smith who finished 94th in 23.31 and first in her age category.
Sharon's finishing time means that she is the current age group leader (since records began!) for the Swindon Park run VW60-64 and is ninth overall in age group records!
Also achieving good times were Jo Wood 24.22, Elaine Chapman 24.29, Laura Maddison 26.17 and Claire Joyce 27.35.
NEW club runner Ben Chapman ran the Titchmarsh 10k in Northampton at the weekend. along with his wife Elaine.
Ben completed the race in 47.16 to knock two and a half minutes off his PB. Elaine finished in 48.56.
Worcester Marathon and Milton Keynes Marathon
JOHN BUCK, Andy Sampson and Dave Whitlow all in training for the Comrades in South Africa in June, competed in two back-to-back hilly marathons this weekend.
On Sunday they were in Worcester, with John smashing his marathon PB by 11 minutes
to finish in 3:14.14 for 17th overall and second in the MV50 category. Dave did well to finish in 3:56.00 and Andy unfortunately didn't finish due to illness.
On Monday they travelled to Milton Keynes for the second of the races which all three found harder mainly due to the heat. John and Andy crossed the line together in 4hr 03min followed 15 minutes later by Dave.
