CIRENCESTER RFC U8s remained unbeaten throughout their recent minis tour, organised by Tim Thompson and John Fowler, and ended it with a spectacular success at the prestigious Bath Rugby Festival.

Led by coaches Paul Ponting and Rich Evans, they won all their Saturday fixtures against North Bristol and 24 hours later lifted the trophy for their age group at The Recreation Ground, home of Bath rugby club, following victories against Salisbury, Devizes, Chippenham and Clifton.

The pipped host club Bath to the title thanks to a combination of try countback and captain Louis Giles-Saunders' expertise at ‘paper, scissors, stone’.
