SWINDON’S home speedway clash with Birmingham at the Abbey Stadium tonight has fallen victim to the weather – but a new date has immediately been arranged.
The meeting will now take place on Bank Holiday Monday, (May 5) with a 7.30pm start – and with special reduced admission prices in place.
All adults and concessions will be admitted for just £10 as the Robins look for a bumper Bank Holiday crowd.
Promoter Alun Rossiter said: “We’ve checked the rider availability, Troy (Batchelor) will be back for this meeting and we hope supporters will take advantage of the special offer and pack the stadium to get behind the boys.
“We’re pleased to be able to re-arrange the meeting so quickly and I’d like to thank Birmingham for their co-operation.”
Former Robins favourite Hans Andersen had been due to act as substitute for Batchelor tonight as the Aussie is involved in a test match in Poland and therefore unavailable.
