IT HAS been a good week for two local young rugby stars.
Harry Wilson, of Cirencester RFC, scored the winning try for England U17s in the match against their French counterparts at Broadstreet RFC.
The previous week, Wilson had captained Gloucester U17s and scored the opening try in their 31-7 win over Wasps U17s at Twickenham.
Meanwhile, Gloucester first-teamer Elliott Stooke, one of the few success stories in Nigel Davies' side at Kingsholm this season, has been shortlisted for the Premiership's Land Rover Discovery of the Season Award.
The Gloucester second-row will find out whether he has topped the poll against five other nominees at a celebratory dinner on May 15.
Man mountain Stooke, 20, spent his formative rugby years playing for Stow RFC.
