CRICKET: Wiltshire in good form ahead of new season

WILTSHIRE continued their excellent early-season form when they beat Dorset by 80 runs in their final warm-up match at South Wilts on Monday.

Winning the toss they chose to bat and scored 269 all out in the 50th over.

Neil Clark scored 74 and Lechlade's Joe Breet 38.

For Dorset, Mark Wolstenholme took 5-51.

In reply, Dorset were all out in the 42nd over for 189. Aaron Williams scored 37 and Tom Hicks 34.

Steve Warner took 3-42, Jake Roberts 2-29 and Tom Foley 2-50.

Wiltshire’s next match is their first group match in the Unicorns Knock Out Trophy (formerly the MCCA Knock Out Trophy) against Devon at North Devon Cricket Club, Instow on Sunday (April 27) starting at 11.00am
