THE Flat season arrived with a bang at Newbury on Saturday and it was Kingman who stole the headlines with a brilliant performance in the Aon Greenham Stakes.

Following in the footsteps of Frankel, who won this Group 3 prize in 2011 for the same owner Prince Khalid Abdullah, Kingman is now the 7-4 favourite for next month’s QIPCO 2,000 Guineas.

It capped a remarkable Dubai Duty Free weekend for Newmarket trainer John Gosden who followed up his four-timer on Friday with a treble on Saturday.
