Purton 2
The first half ended goalless but the home side missed a sitter after
just five minutes, saw two efforts well saved by Purton keeper Devon
Brown and also hit the Purton woodwork.
Purton went close with a few efforts themselves via Marcus Hall (twice), Johnny Cowley and Leigh Brown.
Tuffley hit the Purton woodwork again after 52 minutes while James Richards broke clear for Purton but had his shot saved by the home keeper four minutes later.
Purton got the breakthrough in the 57th minute when Johnny Coole was upended in the box and skipper Hall converted the spot-kick.
A last ditch clearance by Leigh Brown on 65 minutes stopped a Tuffley leveller and just a minute later Purton went 2-0 up after a corner kick by Jamie McGahey was headed home by Coole.
Both sides had chances after that and in the last three minutes, after a great run through the middle, Purton's Leigh Brown had an effort saved by the Tuffley keeper's feet.
