A DECENT crowd watched some really competitive singles and doubles matches on the Cirencester Table Tennis League finals night.

It was a good night for Tom Watmore who lifted three titles.

In the Division Three singles, brothers Stan and Jake Shilton fought out a five-set match with Stan winning the final set 11-8. Scores were 12-10, 11-8, 5-11, 7-11 & 11-8.

The Division Two singles finals went to four sets with Liu Zhigang beating Otaka Klempt 11-9, 9-11, 11-9 and 11-8.

The Mixed Doubles saw Mark Hobbs and Debbie Quinlivan beat Simon and Carl Philp in three sets (11-6, 11-7 & 11-7).

Dave Greaney and Tom Watmore cruised to a three-set win in the Open Doubles over Andy Hurley and Nick Watts (11-4, 11-7 and 11-3).

In the Ladies' Singles final Carol Philp got the better of Debbie Quinlivan in a straight three-set win that was very close with good rallies from both players. Carol won 12-10, 11-6 and 11-9.

The Veterans Singles saw Tom Watmore overcome Steve Mollart 11-8, 6-11, 11-4 & 11-7. Tom knuckled down after losing the second set and proceeded to dominate the match to its conclusion.

Open Singles: Tom Watmore won by a walkover as Billy Shilton had been called up for the England squad.

Junior Singles: Jake Shilton won by a walkover as Ben Glover had a Stroud League final to play in.
