ANGLING: Vince Shipp tops totals at Ridgway Lakes

VINCE SHIPP topped the totals on both days of the latest fishing at Ridgway Lakes, South Cerney.
Ridgway Lakes results – Saturday, April 5
THE first open held on blue and white pegs was fished by 17 anglers
1, Vince Shipp (179lb on Blue 18); 2, Chris Davis (140lb on Blue 16); 3, Paul Ogbourne (91lb peg Blue 2)
Blue – Jamie Dixie (68lb on Blue 14)
White – Frank Donachie (84lb on White 14)

Ridgway Lakes results – Sunday, April 5
TWO clubs fished with Intake Club fishing half the blue pegs and all the white
1, J Brady (87lb on White 1); 2, M Fitzgerald (85lb on Blue 19); 3, A Pemble – 83lb on White 17
White – A Pegler (34lb on White 6)
Blue – S Webb (19lb on Blue 16)
NEW CENTURY Club fished part red and part green
1, Vince Shipp (140lb 11oz on Green); 2, Mark Taylor (101lb 10oz on Green); 3, Richard Bailey (85lb 6oz on Red)
Red – John Magoo (47lb 10oz)
Green – Mick Robinson (58lb 8oz)
Day tickets are catching good bags throughout the fishery with carp now showing in large numbers. Corn and bread has fished well for carp and red maggots fished mid-water giving good bags of roach and bream.
