CHQ remain favourites for the League title but they had to work hard to overcome Poulton, who led for much of the game.
Steve Andrews gave Poulton the lead with a fine goal from 20 yards after 18 minutes, a lead they held comfortably for the rest of the half. CHQ showed more determination in the second half and equalised 15 minutes in when Mani Randhawa headed home a free kick.
They continued to exert considerable pressure for the rest of the game and were rewarded when Troy Weaven netted the winner from close range with seven minutes remaining.
