Stratton Youth U/18s 2 Highworth Town Juniors U/18s 1.
THE U17/18s entertained a much-improved Highworth side on Sunday and came away with a hard-fought 2-1 win.

Stratton made a slow start to the game allowing Highworth to dictate the early exchanges, but the hosts gradually took control and the influential Conor Smith caused Highworth a lot of problems.

Archie Day broke the deadlock on the half-hour mark with a well taken left footed effort. Stratton continued to press but weren’t able to turn the pressure into goals and were punished when Highworth’s Joe Timms took advantage of a square back four to equalise.

Stratton continued to press and took the lead just before half-time; a Gavin Haselar corner hit the back post and Day forced the ball over the line for his second goal.

Day, Scott Reynolds, Max Lukaweckyj, Smith and Haselar all missed chances for Stratton in the second half and Highworth also had chances to equalise but Stratton held on for a win that keeps them second in the league and stretches their unbeaten record to 10 matches. MoM: Conor Smith.

Stratton Youth U16s 0 Brinkworth Cats Red U16s 2.
BRINKWORTH Cats forced Stratton into some awful rushed football and never let them get into their passing game.

Brinkworth took the lead on 18 minutes when a defensive mix-up left the visiting striker with the easiest of finishes. Although the Stratton lads got into their stride in the second half, they still never really threatened the opposition goalkeeper until Ashley Organ had a strike in the final 10 minutes.

This was after Brinkworth had added another very soft goal 18 minutes into the second half.

MoM: Jamie Jel for excelling at left back.

Sevenfields U15s 3 Stratton Youth U15s 1.
THIS game was played in an intimidating atmosphere with many league officials present, after the original fixture was abandoned due to a head injury.

In that game Stratton were 4-1 up at the time of the stoppage.

Even though Ben Knowles gave Stratton the lead again, they simply were not at the races, and the home side, with many new faces in their line-up, took full advantage.

Stratton Youth U14s 1 Shrewton U14s 6.
ANOTHER goal from in-form Michael Cook was the only highlight for the home side.

Stratton Youth U13s 3 Shaw U13s 4.
THE visiting manager complimented the home side and compared their performance with that of high-flying Highworth.

Tiyree Philipson, Jack Tysom and Jamie Witt were the scorers while MoM was Tom Keylock.

Stratton Youth U11s Croft U11s 3.
STRATTON started quickly and pressed for the entire first half, sneaking ahead when Barney Kimber fired past the keeper.

Stratton tired in the second period and Croft took full advantage scoring three goals despite the tireless efforts of MoM Charlie Love.
