BIBURY went on the rampage against Viney St Swithins on Saturday but remarkably all nine of their goals came in little more than half an hour of the second half.
Glos Northern Senior Div Two
Bibury 9
Viney St Swithins 0
It was not for lack of opportunities in the opening 45 minutes. Bibury started strongly with a Dom O'Neill header going just over the bar while Charlie Ingham had two good chances, the first prompting a fine save from the visiting keeper.
With Bibury totally dominant, Scott Huband and Kanne Outram both went close and as the half came to a close the Viney goalkeeper had made four further good saves to keep the scores level.
With the wind behind them in the second half, Bibury broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the half when James Keylock beat three defenders before scoring.
Three minutes later Ashley Rockley grabbed his first of the game following good work from O'Neill.
Rockley then hit a post before substitute Chris Singh got his first goal of the game after an assist from Ingham.
Ingham himself scored the fourth goal shortly followed by a fifth from defender Harry Deacon.
With 10 minutes remaining goal number six arrived courtesy of John Austin after good build-up play involving O'Neill and Rockley.
The seventh goal was an own goal after a Kanne Outram shot; Singh then grabbed his second with three minutes to go and on 90 minutes Rockley scored number nine.
