The winning trio were John Smart, Keith Greenwood and David Neale with a net score of 63.8.

Their generous handicaps may have helped when the scores were tallied but their win owed more to some very good golf which started with a blitz of birdies on the first three holes and a holed putt from off the green at the tricky 14th.

The teams in second and third were both less than a holed putt away. Second were Robin Johnson, Mike Staples, and Martin Taylor with a net score of 64.4 and third were Rodney Williams, Evan Jarrett and Graham Morgan.

The team of John Hall, Mike Parsons and Mike Bishop were not in the shake up despite posting birdies at the 13th and 18th and John Hall getting a hole in one on the ninth.
