Avonvale Utd U11s 7
AVONVALE U11s extended their lead at the top of the table to 11 points with a 7-0 victory against Kingshill.
Elliot Kayani opened the scoring early on having been played through by Orlando Harding. A combination of wasteful finishing and great goalkeeping prevented Avonvale from extending their lead until Benjamin Cook scored two long-range strikes minutes before half-time to put his side 3-0 up at the break.
Their confidence was now clear as Jack Ticehurst brilliantly flicked home a corner before Harding broke clear to make it five. Luca Pollitt grabbed a deserved goal having hit the post twice earlier, before Danny Hedge completed the scoring.
MoM was won jointly by Flynn Walton for a brilliant defensive display and Cook for dominating the midfield as well as scoring two great goals.

VALE moved through to the semi final of the Stroud & Swindon League Cup with a fine team performance on a sunny day at Synwell.
Taking a two-goal cushion into this second leg, Vale struck early through Adam Gale and then increased the lead further when James Skeldon latched on to a fine pass and sweetly lobbed the oncoming keeper from the edge of the box. Playing down the slope in the second period, Vale kept good control of the game and remained strong defensively. Laurence Cooper grabbed a third goal and when Skeldon completed his brace with another fine finish a place in the semi final was secured.

AN entertaining display from both teams in this Cotswold Youth League match. Vale took the lead and scored three times in the first period with goals from Daniel Rawle and a brace from Zach Hitchcock-Smith before the home side responded.
It remained that way for a long period and through good defensive play from Philip Monagahan, Sacha Cooper and Aled Watkins. The home side continued to press and pulled back to within one goal until Cooper found the net once more.
MoM: Aled Watkins (GK).
