DANIEL JACKSON of Cirencester HC and Kingshill School has again been selected for the England U16 Boys’ hockey squad for the season 2013/14.

This involves a full eight-month programme of regular weekend camps with the rest of the squad, together with international matches.

Last season Daniel played 11 times for the England U16s and this year he hopes to be going to tournaments in Germany and Spain as well as playing a series of international matches against Ireland and Belgium.

In addition, Angus Butler and Hamish Brady of Cirencester Hockey Club, had an England U16 boys' assessment, just missing out on selection to the final squad.

It has been a successful year for Cirencester Hockey Club with 24 juniors getting through to the Gloucestershire Junior Academy centres, which is effectively the county side as follows – U14 Girls: Phoebe Hicks, Louise Hall, Grace Knapp, Emma Hatherall, Jemma Craig and Lauren Jones.

U14 Boys: Robbie Jackson, Alex Dennett, Alex Hicks, Jack Clark, Oliver Jones.

U 15 Girls: Ellie Jones, Emily Buck.

U15 Boys: Max Pengilley, Alex Ascham.

U16 Boys: Angus Butler, Kobe Thompson, Hamish Brady.

U16 Girls: Harry Davies, Charlotte Kilby.

U17 Girls: Lucie Brown.

U17 Boys: Charlie Partridge, Tom Svensson, Tom Snowball.
