Glos Northern Senior Div Two
Bibury 1
Winchcombe Town 2
ANOTHER very windy Saturday saw Bibury slip to a home defeat once again.
Bibury, who had five players missing compared to their previous match, created the first chance but Sammy Russell shot wide.
Chances were few and far between in the early stages until Winchcombe took the lead with their first real opportunity.
As a result, Winchcombe began to get on top and would have gone further ahead but for keeper Steve Luce making two top class saves while Dan Shannon was responsible for a great block.
Kanne Outram almost got Bibury back in the game but his effort crashed against the crossbar.
Bibury made a couple of changes early in the second half and ten minutes in they levelled the scores when George Peare found Dom O'Neill, who beat the keeper from the edge of the area.
Bibury should then have gone in front but Nathan Brunton fired a great opportunity wide.
The game was heading for a draw until Winchcombe's top scorer Major conjured up a fine finish as Bibury conspired to lose their second game on the trot.
Bibury MoM: Dom O'Neill.
