It was the Vale who started brightly with the wind behind them, going on an all-out attack and causing the opposition a number of problems.

Neil Fisher made a fine debut appearance and opened his goal account almost immediately after a fine through ball from Jack Thomas. Vale's free-flowing football continued with another assist from Thomas to lift Dominic Jackson’s goal tally to five for the season.

Fisher then went on to complete a brace to move the score on to 3-0 after 30 minutes, with Jackson putting one in off the post to make it 4-0 at the break.

With the wind behind them Randwick pushed on in the second half and clawed back two goals, but Vale were working very hard in the conditions and were unlucky not to score again.

Vale's resilience, teamwork and hard work paid off as the claimed a well-deserved 4-2 win.
