CIRENCESTER TOWN’S local derby against Swindon Supermarine has been postponed for a second time.

The Corinium Stadium pitch was deemed unplayable due to waterlogging at a midday inspection ahead of tonight’s scheduled game.

The match had to be rearranged after the game could not be played in similar circumstances on the original Boxing Day date.

Cirencester have now announced new dates for three other games that have fallen foul of the weather already this month.

The Centurions now play Tiverton Town at home next Tuesday (February 4).

They make the journey down to Taunton Town on the evening of Tuesday, February 18.

And last Saturday’s home match with Godalming Town which was abandoned at half-time has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 11 (7.45pm kick-off).

Cirencester, lying second in the Calor Southern Div One South & West, find themselves losing ground to leaders Merthyr Town, who play their home games on an artificial pitch.

Merthyr lead the table by six points but Ciren have three games in hand.
