GOLF: Captains team up to triumph in January Bowmaker at Cirencester

MEMBERS of Cirencester Golf Club are very fortunate to have a course that stays in great condition throughout the year. Even in midwinter it is possible to play competitive golf and the seniors' section have taken advantage of the conditions to add some additional competitions this winter season.

January Bowmaker

The Bowmaker played on January 22, in which the best two scores counted on each hole from a team of three, was won by seniors' vice captain Mike Brown, past seniors' captain John Thurston and Peter Knight with a score of 89 points.

The team in second place were Ken Mills,John Binder and Chris Watson whose score of 48 points on the back nine was outstanding but with an overall 87 points not good enough.
