HARRY WILSON, of Cirencester RFC, was one of four promising young sports stars who received a top local award last week.
Wilson was among the winners at the 2013 Honourable Company of Gloucestershire Awards backed by the Gloucestershire Playing Fields Association (GPFA).
Wilson is making his mark in the demanding sport of rugby union.
He started playing at his local club, Cirencester RFC aged just six years old. Since then he has developed into one of the most talented players in the county.
This has been reflected in his selection for Gloucestershire and South West teams and recently he has been picked for the England U16 Elite Squad.
The presentation of the awards was made by Patrick Brooke, immediate Past Warden of The Honourable Company of Gloucestershire.
the other three winners from a total of 11 nominees were: athlete Kelly Constable (16) from Down Hatherley; judo player James Hayes (16) from Cam and netball player Paige Reed (16) from Gloucester.
