TETBURY TOWN U13s played their first game for five weeks on Sunday against top-of-the-table Fairford and came away with a creditable 0-0 draw.

Tetbury Town U13s 0

Fairford Town U13s 0

In an entertaining game both teams had chances but good defending and some great saves, especially from Tetbury keeper Josh Hall, kept the game goalless.

A credit to both teams in a very hard-fought game.

Stonehouse U14s 2

Tetbury Town U14s 4

TETBURY'S U14s ended a poor recent run with a fine away victory at Stonehouse.

Wroughton Youth U10s 1

South Cerney U10s 5

SOUTH CERNEY U10s played their first match of 2014 and came away with a well-earned victory.

After two defeats in their last two matches it was obvious the team were up for the challenge against a good Wroughton team.

Marshall Bye, making his debut in midfield, was instrumental in much of Cerney’s early play. Several chances went begging before Josh Allen gave Cerney the lead they deserved with a fine individual goal. Joel Morris and Benjy Dodds were unlucky not to increase the lead and Cerney went in at half-time 1-0 up.

The second half was much of the same and it wasn’t long before Owen Humphreys got a second and Allen added a third. With Alice Cappell and Callum Mays absolutely outstanding in defence it took a sloppy piece of defending to gift Wroughton a goal with keeper Theo Cooper given no chance.

Undeterred, Cerney picked themselves up and Jamie Miles scored a brilliant individual goal, running from the halfway line and side footing it past the keeper. Cerney were still not done and Mays sent an adept through ball to Allen who nonchalantly rounded the defender to complete his hat-trick.

MoM: Callum Mays – brilliant all-round performance.
