Avonvale Utd 2.

Upton St Leonards 5.

LEAGUE leaders Avonvale Utd lost their unbeaten home record to a well-drilled Upton St Leonards side.

The hosts were stunned after 15 minutes when they failed to clear a corner and the ball was rifled into the net by a USL attacker.

Vale were soon 2-0 behind when a shot from 20 yards was deflected and looped over the Vale keeper's head.

Two quick goals at the start of the second half, after more shocking defending, put the away side 4-0 up.

Vale did pull a couple back through Sam Jenner and George Blackah, but the game was sealed with a stunning strike from a USL midfielder.

Avonvale Utd Res 3.

Bush FC 5

AVONVALE Utd Res will take home plenty of positives despite coming up short against promotion chasers Bush FC.

In a tight first half, Sprange, playing in an unfamiliar position on the left wing, buried a first-time effort into the top corner to cancel out Bush’s earlier strike.

The cheers were short-lived, though, as a second penalty miss in as many weeks, followed by two Bush goals at the start of the second half, saw the chances of an upset diminish.

Avonvale battled bravely against their more illustrious opponents, scoring two more goals: the first a brilliant, cushioned volley by substitute Daniels with his first touch of the game; the second, a tap-in for Jackson to make it two in two games for the attacking midfielder.

Bush showed their quality, however, scoring two more goals of their own.
