BOURTON ROADRUNNERS
BOURTON ROADRUNNERS were well represented at the GlosAAA Road Running Championship Awards presentation evening at the Gloucester Civic Suite on Friday, January 10. The evening recognised the performances of runners from Gloucestershire clubs during 2013.
Runners competed in 12 nominated races during the year, and were awarded points based on their finishing positions (top eight scores to count).
Shona Crombie-Hicks was the Ladies' Open champion. First-place awards also went to Claire Harrison (LV35), Steph Holton (LV45), Ali Lane (LV55), Mike Smith (MV40), Ewen Smith (MV45) and Dennis Walmsley (MV50).
Second-place awards went to Shona Crombie-Hicks (LV40), Susan Hunt (LV45), Lynn Hudson (LV55), Mike Smith (Men's Open) and John Gibson (MV55).
Receiving third-place awards were Darren Long (MV40), Brian Hulcup (MV60) and Norm Lane (MV65).
In the team awards section, Bourton Roadrunners won the Ladies' Open (the award was collected by junior member Niamh Powell), Ladies' Vets and Men's Vets.
