FANS will be able to play alongside the current Gloucestershire CCC squad at a golf day to support grass roots cricket.

The event at Cirencester Golf Club on March 14 will raise money for the Gloucestershire Cricket Board’s (GCB) county youth programme and a number of its other community and school projects.

For £140 you can enter a team of four or a team of three plus a member of the Gloucestershire playing or coaching staff. The entry fee also includes refreshments and a bacon roll on arrival, a two-course dinner and entry into a prize raffle.

Gloucestershire Cricket Board chief executive Steve Silk said: “This should be a wonderful event and we are hugely grateful to the Gloucestershire players and staff for giving up their time to support the work we do developing cricket across the county.

“This is a great opportunity for supporters to rub shoulders with their heroes and play on one of the county’s top golf courses. Whether you are a cricket club with a number of keen golfers or a business looking to entertain clients, this will be a fantastic day out.”

There are 24 four balls available with tee times between 9am and noon. Slots are available on a first come, first served basis by ringing Steve on 07554 452228 or emailing steve.silk@glosccc.co.uk.
