CIRENCESTER TOWN U11s progressed to the quarter-final stage of the Mid Glos Dulux Paint Trophy by beating Severnside.

Severnside U11s 1

Cirencester Town U11s 2

Ciren were ahead in five minutes. A great run down the left wing from Luke Pennington ended with a low driven cross for Aaron McKillop to tap in at the back post.

Severnside pinched a goal back shortly before half-time to make it 1-1 at the break.

Ten minutes into the second half a great long range shot from Ben Carter was too hot for the goalie to handle and he spilt it into the back of the net.

Ciren were under the cosh for the second half, although having their own chances, too.

But a great MoM performance from goalie Oliver Wood kept Ciren ahead.
