Bath City U12s 1

Ashton Keynes U12s 2

ASHTON KEYNES Girls’ U12 team extended their lead at the top of the table to six points after a hard-fought win against their principal rivals Bath City.

In a repeat of the close game played in mid-December, both teams showed a great deal of skill and proved why they are the top two in the division.

After a goalless first half, Ashton Keynes then scored twice through leading scorer Poppy Romback, with the first assisted by a fantastic piece of skill and through ball from Eleanor Hiller. Bath replied with two minutes remaining to set up a tense finale but AK held on for a 2-1 victory.
