JONNY MAY, who came through the ranks of Royal Wootton Bassett RFC, has been named in the 35-strong England Elite training squad ahead of the Six Nations campaign.

The centre/winger has been in fine form for Gloucester and joins fellow team-mates Matt Kvesic, Ben Morgan and Billy Twelvetrees in the squad preparing for the campaign opener against France.

Former Kingshill School and Cirencester RFC player Henry Trinder has not made the final 35 despite being a late addition to the England elite player squad which prepared for the autumn internationals.

Trinder has, however, been named in the second-tier England Saxons sqaud.

His Gloucester team-mate Freddie Burns is also in contention when the Saxons play O2 Ireland Wolfhounds at Kingsholm on January 25.

Trinder is currently sidelined with a groin injury and has been ruled out of Gloucester's make or break Heineken Cup clash with Munster today (Saturday).
