Glos Northern Senior Div Two
Longford 2
Bibury 2
BIBURY twice came from behind to take a point at Longford on Saturday and keep their recent unbeaten run going.
Much of the first half was spent in the middle third of the pitch with both sides struggling to create any clear-cut chances.
James Keylock (shot) Bibury and Dom O'Neill (header) both put chances wide and just before half-time only a fine goal line clearance by Josh Russell prevented Longford from taking the lead.
The hosts did break the deadlock five minutes into the second half with a near-post finish by Adam Smith from a good cross.
Bibury made a couple of changes shortly afterwards and levelled just after the hour mark thanks to an own goal following a scramble in the six-yard box.
Longford were back in front two minutes later after a header from a free kick came back off the bar and Oliver Field reacted quickest to force the rebound past Bibury keeper Steve Luce.
With 15 minutes left, Bibury levelled when striker Scott Huband ended his recent goal drought by producing a great angled finish across the keeper and into the far corner of the net.
Bibury spent the last ten minutes on the attack and went close to claiming the winner when an Ashley Rockley shot was deflected just wide.
Bibury MoM: Chris Singh.
