AUSSIE DUO Troy Batchelor and Nick Morris will be back riding for the Swindon Robins in 2014 – much to the delight of boss Alun Rossiter.

Significantly, both were part of the Elite League-winning Robins team in 2012 and both continued their good form last season – with the popular and hard-riding Morris looking sure to step up to heat leader status in the near future.

Rossiter said: “Batch is delighted to be back and we’re pleased he is coming back. We know what a quality rider he is and I believe there is plenty more to come from him.

“Batch is also a great character to have around the pits and he’s good at encouraging the other guys in the team, he will relish that prospect.

“Nick is a real battler and there’s more to come from him. He’s a good rider who will do very well in the 2014 league.

“When the new points limit was agreed I immediately identified Nick as a key rider to sign and I’m pleased to get him sorted.”

Rossiter now has four of his seven-strong team in place with the two reserve slots, guaranteed to young British riders as part of rule changes for the new season, going to Steve Worrall and Josh Bates.

Rosco added: “I’m confident we will have some more exciting team news in the next few days.”

Meanwhile, Swindon asset Justin Sedgmen is on his way back to British Speedway in 2014 – with Premier League Edinburgh.

Aussie ace Sedgmen has agreed a deal to race for the Scottish side on loan from the Robins.

Rossiter said: “I’m delighted Justin has been fixed up and we will be keeping a close eye on his progress with Edinburgh. We wish him well.”
