DEER PARK ARCHERS confirmed their status as one of the top clubs in the country when winning no fewer than 21 titles at the Junior County & Open Indoor Championships held at Balcarras School last Sunday.

Highlights among the Cowley-based Deer Park contingent, in no particular order, were: Ellie Gore, just two weeks off her beginners’ course, scoring 460 and winning the U10s; Harry Faulkner breaking the county U10 recurve record; Emma Bond showing a massive improvement in the U12 barebow; Ben McIvor recording 289 in the U16 longbow and recording a county record; Paige Tucker again making a massive improvement; Phoebe Pine continuing to improve her scores with a 533, Hannah Deasy beating her PB by 120 and James Howse recording 584 in the U16 compound.

Deer Park also secured the team event with members James Howse, Robbie Baker and Liza Hadley. Club archers broke 13 county records in total.

The full list of Deer Park county champions were: Cameron Lynch, Ellie Gore, Chloe A’Bear, Harry Faulkner, Riley Spencer-Nice, Anna Langdon, Sashi Bush, Fin Cummins, Lucy Mason, Nicole Deasy, Josh Uzzel, Alfie Wilkes, Phoebe Pine, Robbie Baker, Hamish Ponton, Ben McIver, James Howse, Liza Hadley,Emily Nixon, Tom Howse and James Lawton.

Many of them will be competing for Deer Park at the Junior National Indoor Championships at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry this weekend.
