FAIRFORD Town returned to winning ways with a comfortable 4-0 success over North Leigh United on Saturday.
It was an impressive display from the Reds who could have won by more but for a superb opposing goalkeeping display from Kane Lewis, who produced at least four fine first-half saves to keep the score level.
Fairford took the lead early in the second period when an excellent cross-shot from the right hand side was only parried with Alex Rudd on hand to finish off the loose ball.
Dan Bailey doubled the advantage with a trademark free-kick past Lewis before Paul Braithwaite made a double switch with Matt Boucher and Colin Curtis replacing Steve Hall and goalscorer Rudd.
There was still time for two further goals with Callum Parsons netting the third of the afternoon and captain Henry Traas finishing well for number four.
Kyle Murdoch also returned to action at Cinder Lane after an extended spell away, replacing Callum Marshall.
