GOLF: Robbins launches his latest golf practice facility

PGA professional Geoff Robbins has launched a new concept in golf practice at his latest facility on the outskirts of Oxford.
The popular former head pro at Cirencester Golf Club has just opened the Heathfield Park Golf Driving Range and Teaching Academy – and he is already delighted with the results.
Robbins describes the range, which he owns with his wife Jo, as 'a golf entertainment complex which is fun, innovative and inspirational'.
Instead of a typical boring outfield, Heathfield Park presents the golfer with a more realistic golfing experience – fairways leading to golf greens at different distances.
"There is also an opportunity to hit fairway woods to greens that are between 200 and 250 yards away," added Robbins, who also owned and ran the award-winning Faringdon Par 3 course for a number of years.
"And you can experience the sensation of ‘smashing’ your driver to the maximum distance on the outfield that extends over 300 yards."
The floodlit golf range is equipped with 19 fully carpeted and covered bays and ten outside bays. Along with the state-of-the-art equipment, there are also nice touches like being able to order refreshments from the clubhouse at the intercom system near your bay.
Heathfield Park is set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings, yet is only 800 yards from the A34 Bletchingdon/Heathfield/Islip exits and adjacent to the Islip to Heathfield and Bletchingdon Road.
And, of course, it benefits from Robbins' decades of experience in coaching both successful professionals and amateurs.
Geoff will be assisted by PGA teaching pro Dan Wall.
