Glos Northern Senior Div 2.
Moreton Rangers 1.
Bibury 3.
MORETON Rangers had yet to concede a league goal this season but Bibury ended their 100 per cent record with a 3-1 away victory.
Bibury dealt well with all that Moreton could throw at them in the early stages, but the hosts should have taken the lead with a header from a corner and also had a goal disallowed for a foul.
As the half went on, Bibury had a great chance to take the lead themsleves when Chris Singh headed an Ashley Rockley cross against the bar, and minutes later Rockley had a shot saved.
Moreton took the lead right on half-time when a headed back pass was misdirected and the Moreton striker pounced to score.
Moreton started the second half strongly and Bibury keeper Steve Luce had to make a top quality save to keep out a powerful shot.
As Bibury found more space, Rockley curled a shot just wide.
Then, with 20 minutes to go, Bibury levelled the scores. Darren Parker knocked a free kick into the box where Scott Huband took a touch before knocking tha ball past the Moreton keeper.
Bibury then made a couple of changes and went looking for the win.
Kanne Outram had a shot well saved just before Bibury took the lead through Rockley.
Then Singh met a Jack Ayres cross to wrap the game up with Bibury’s third goal.
Bibury MoM: Steve Luce.
