MOTORCYCLING: Danny Kent splits with Tech3 team

TETBURY’S Moto2 rising star Danny Kent is to part company from the Tech3 Moto2 team at the end of the season, despite signing a contract for 2014 just over a month ago, writes Alannah Fellows.
After winning two races last season and being a regular podium finisher on the Red Bull Ajo KTM Moto3 machine, 19-year-old Kent made the step up to the bigger Moto2 class this season with the French team, backed by local sponsor MMCG.
However, Kent has struggled all season with his best result being a 12th place finish in the Czech Republic, and he has picked up only eight points in the championship standings.
With four races of the 2013 campaign remaining his team have said they 'remain fully committed and determined to helping Kent achieve the best results possible before he moves on to seek a fresh challenge next season'.
Kent tweeted: “So guys, it's been released that I will be leaving the Tech 3 Moto 2 team.
"Hope to have some good results to end the year wish to say thanks to all the team.
"I do have several offers in the GP paddock, hopefully news on future soon."
