Missed chances prove costly for Bibury

Glos Northern Senior Div 2.
Quedgeley Wanderers 3.
MISSED chances again proved costly for Bibury as they went down to their first defeat of the league season at Quedgeley.
Bibury started brightly and had shots from James Keylock and Ash Rockley well saved before Kanne Outram hit the post.
The pressure eventually counted as, midway through the half, Bibury took the lead when Chris Haynes raced on to a long kick from keeper Steve Luce and casually lobbed the oncoming home keeper.
Rockley then had a goal ruled out for offside and further chances for Russell and Deacon were well saved before Quedgeley levelled right on half-time with a close-range header at the far post.
Bibury started the second half in audacious fashion, Rockley successfully lobbing the keeper from inside his own half immediately after the kick-off.
But it was not long before the Wanderers got a scrappy equaliser.
Then, in the 70th minute, Quedgeley took the lead for the first time. Luce did well to tip a free kick on to the crossbar but the Quedegley striker was the first to react and forced the ball home.
