IN Division One of the M4 Karting Cirencester & District League, Bibury Reserves recorded a good 1-0 victory at South Cerney to keep them at the top of the table.
They are joined on six points by Poulton who notched their second consecutive away victory – again scoring four goals in the process – in winning 4-2 at Stratton Utd.
Steve Andrews and Robert Paget were both on target for Poulton with two goals apiece.
After their opening-day defeat, CHQ Utd bounced back to winning ways with a 3-1 victory at Lechlade. Richard Hadgkiss, Ben Saunders and Callum Endicott were on target for CHQ, with Ashley Andrews replying for Lechlade.
An excellent game at Oaksey saw the home side edge out visitors Siddington Sports 3-2.
Oaksey took an early lead through Jake Peglar, but two goals from Simon Jefferies gave Siddington an interval lead. The home side equalised in the second half through Charlie Hart, and Peglar added a second to clinch the points. Siddington staged a spirited late rally, but could not snatch the equaliser their play deserved.
The Beeches shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw at Real Fairford, with Martin Garvey, Danny Gudger and Jody Lawrence getting the goals for the visitors.
In Division Two, CHQ Utd Res and Siddington Sports Veterans were involved in a close contest with neither side being able to break the deadlock.
Ashton Keynes won 4-0 at luckless neighbours Minety, who are bottom of the table having conceded 12 goals in their first two games without reply.
Tetbury thirds, who lost narrowly 1-0 the previous week, picked up their first points courtesy of a Jason Dyer strike to beat Down Ampney by the same scoreline.
Sherston in Division One and Oaksey Res in Division Two, have yet to kick-off their campaigns, but they get the opportunity this week.
