Cirencester Town youngster is out for the season

CIRENCESTER TOWN player Nathan Hawkins broke his leg within 20 minutes of the start of his first game for Hellenic Premier League side Shrivenham in their 3-3 draw at Slimbridge on Saturday.

Hawkins had registered with Shrivenham in order to get some regular game time.

“We are all distraught for Nathan,” said Cirencester Town boss Brian Hughes.

“He is a lovely lad and a very mature young man. He wanted some regular football at a decent level, and that is what we wanted for him, too, which is why we asked Shrivenham if they would take him.

“We still have very high hopes for Nathan, Shep (Joe Shepherd and Brad (Hooper) and the three of them breaking into our first team this season has been a big bonus for us.”
