Fairford put 11 unanswered tries past Westbury

Dorset & Wilts Div 2 North.

Fairford 66 Westbury II 3.

FAIRFORD'S first team maintained their winning run as they scored 11 unanswered tries to beat Westbury IIs.

Fairford's strong scrum helped immensely and was the foundation for many of the tries as they won almost all the ball.

The hosts showed great hands and offloading throughout combined with strong running. There were no fewer than nine different scorers.

Josh Lenthall bagged himself a try and there was a brace for captain Rich Lewis. There was also a great display on the wing from Gavin Wedlake as he also crossed the line, while Will Olds continued his fine run at centre by scoring a well-worked try.

In the pack, 'Beamer' Chambers got a double and 'Ants' Little maintained his form following his return, while Luke Sawyer smashed over from five metres.

Special mention goes to Jack Grierson who scored on his debut and looks a promising acquisition on the wing.
