Racing ahead.
GREAT NEWS – I’m off racing again on Friday, this time back at Sandown Park near London. The maximum weight I will carry is 11st 7lb but hopefully Conor Shoemark will be available to take 7lb off, which will be a big help to a little horse.
I am going to be racing at 2m 4f again and hopefully, with less mud, I will be back in the winner’s enclosure. Stay up to date with how I get on via @peopleshorse or take a cheeky Friday off work and join us at the course.
#TeamFOB.
THE horses are all in top form and running well although there were no weekend winners to report. We had three runners at Market Rasen – Fiddlers Bid finished second by half a length, and Dark Energy and Kayfton Pete both finished third in their races.
The boss, Fergal has double-entered lots of us in the hope of finding the best race so look out at Warwick and Sandown this Friday for Rockchasebullett, Perfect Candidate, Queen Of Mantua, Nurse Ratched, Gallic Warrior and Hurricane Emily. On Saturday, we could also have Alvarado in the feature race, the Racing Plus Chase at Kempton Park.
#CheltenhamFestivalCountdown.
IT'S just three weeks until the Festival begins and the roar of 50,000 people spreads across Prestbury Park. The atmosphere is electric and the excitement is truly infectious, even the horses know it’s the big one, the day they’ve been in training for all year, their moment on the big stage.
I only wish I was racing – perhaps next year someone would like to ride me in the Charity Race. Buy your tickets and see all of the superstars in action from March 12-15. Tickets start from just £25 and can be bought online: www.cheltenham.co.uk.
#TentoFollowTeam.
MOST of our team have completed their Cheltenham preparations and here is what I think their plans will be during the Festival. I’ve even included their current prices just in case you fancy a flutter.
Sprinter Sacre – Queen Mother Champion Chase (1-4); Simonsig – Arkle Chase (8-11); Boston Bob – Royal Sun Alliance Chase (11-2); Module – Jewson Novices’ Chase (12-1); Bobs Worth – Gold Cup (3-1); For Non Stop – Ryanair Chase (20-1); Hunt Ball – Byrne Group Plate (7-1); Sir Des Champs – Gold Cup (4-1).
