ALICIA HAWKER, from Hullavington, won the Open title at British Eventing’s pre-season ‘Jumping and Style’ (JAS) competition aboard Nankin Des Rouettes.
The event took place at the Hand Equestrian Centre near Clevedon in North Somerset.
Alicia ended the 2012 season competing up to international 2* level and was also in the top ten of the National U18 Championships.
The JAS series, sponsored by Baileys Horse Feeds, is an arena eventing experience with a combination of show jumps and cross country fences.
Alicia is currently training and competing horses full time in her gap year.
She has a place at university but would ultimately like to ride horses for a living.
She said: "I am hoping to catch the eye of the British Young Rider Team selectors this season.”
