Kempsford rider wins show jumping test
7:00am Friday 15th February 2013 in Sport
ISABEL McKEEMAN, from Kempsford in Gloucestershire, took the biggest height class of the day, the BE100 cm section, as young riders dominated at Hartpury College for British Eventing’s Jump Training competition recently.
Isabel was riding the bay nine-year old gelding, Ruscai Little Arkansas, and they finished an impressive 12 points ahead of the second-placed rider.
This pre-season series, again sponsored by Baileys Horse Feeds, is a unique training competition in which riders show jump under the watchful eye of a BE-accredited coach, receive feedback on their round and then jump again.
The winner of the BE80 class was Hannah McCoubrie from Dursley in Gloucestershire, riding her Appaloosa, Blueberry NJ.
Eighteen-year-old Hannah rode the nine-year-old gelding to victory in a class of 18 starters.
